ABOUT

I guess I was about 18 years old when I wrote my first (guitar) song.

'Life happened' and it took me more than 2 decades to get back to making original music.

I started to write songs and recording started with Cath as female vocalist.
The music was characterized by mixing different styles : electronic and accoustic pop, new age and eurodance.

Two albums were released : Dream in 2012 and Pain in 2014, followed by a single Crash in November 2014.

Inspired by a trip to Paris, I wrote Tower of Love in 2015 for Ann, my love and partner in life.

After a hiatus I released 3 tracks in 2022 : an electric song Why did you go, a dance track Rush Hour and a rock song Out of Your Mind.

I enjoy listening to different styles of music (pop, rock, R&B, ambient music, hip hop, house music) from artists or bands like Nirvana, George Michael, Patrick O'HearnKanye West and many more.

But the red line has always been film scores.

Being a huge movie fan, some composers made a big impression on me, here are my thoughts on some of them :

For me, Blade Runner remains one of the most important and influential science fiction films of all time and its Vangelis score is one of the best soundtracks of all time.

I felt the ambient Mark Isham score for The Hitcher, elevated an already excellent feature.

Hans Zimmer integrated a lot of electronic music into orchestral arrangements and became a household name.  In June 2017  we attended his concert in Antwerp and I was quite impressed with his performance of Time (Inception).

In later years, innovative scores of icelandic composers like Jóhann Jóhannsson (Prisoners, Sicario, Arrival) and Atli Örvarsson (Defending Jacob) caught my attention.
The Hildur Guðnadóttir score with an emphasis on cello, helped define Joker as a classic movie.
